Could you make pinned threads stay pinned even after dying?

I have no idea how doing this would work, but it's something I've always wanted to see. Just saving their links at the top while saying that they're dead would be enough, no need for OP images but I doubt getting them would be impossible given how they still get archived (unless they get deleted, obviously).
