For the sticky on /a/ it says 1000 replies when there are quite a lot more than that, it seems it is now capping them instead of listing the correct number like it used to on threads over 1000 replies.

/a/'s sticky is a rolling sticky. Old replies are pruned automatically to only keep the 1000 most recent posts.
You can double check 4chan's built-in catalog if you want, or count the replies yourself.
