NSFW Mode

1

Couldn't a NSFW mode be added to the catalog? I mean, I checked grope.us and it's deader than dead right now: it turned into a parked domain. Now, the Admin said he wouldn't like to host NSFW material, but is it really so? Because right now we (chronic masturbators) have no other option. So we come home and end up lying at our beds, emptyhanded.

Know what I mean?

Soon

3

Does that mean the catalog will become redundant?
What will happen to the existing other ones?

4 !Admin

>>3
Yes. It was bound to happen one day anyway.

5

Alright. One less thing to host on the server then I guess.

6

>>4
Any estimate when I can shutdown the catalog and place out a redirect?

7 !Admin

>>6
No idea.
You don't really have to shut down your catalog though.

8

>>7
It's okay. I don't really mind if we get less visitors or if the server is less loaded, hah.

9

Any updates?

10 !Admin

>>9
In a couple of days maybe.

11

>>10
Thank you. Prepared the redirection, everything is ready to go. (I'll keep the site up as a backup for a few days. But if everything goes well, there is no need to waste resources.)

12

Any updates?

Waiting...

http://boards.4chan.org/a/catalog

15

>>14
Oh I see what moot did there. Neat.

16

>>14
What does this mean for this catalog? I much prefer this catalog over the one moot's implemented on 4chan.

17

rip in piece neet.tv ;-;

18

>>16

What does this mean for this catalog?

Nothing.
The less active boards will be removed and the most active ones will get their refresh delays reduced.

19

>>18
Wait, boards are getting removed from this catalog? Which ones? Damn, that means more than likely boards like /c/ and /cm/ will get removed from the catalog. Fuck.

20

>>19
"Image-centric" boards will stay.

21

>>20
Alright, thanks! Good to know.

22

Is /jp/ going to be removed?

23

>>22
No

24

Would you remove /jp/ if I donated?

25

>>24

Don't bully /jp/.

26

>>24
I would add /bun/ if you donated.

27

What's the point in keeping the catalog anyway?

28

>>27

The digest page mostly. And the whole thing looks less cluttered for some reason.

29

Is /jp/ going to get its refresh delay reduced?

30

>>29
Yes.
But even during prime time, /jp/ only gets about 3 new posts (replies) per minute.

31

>>18
when is this going to happen?

32

>>31
I already removed some not so popular boards and I'll readjust the delays tomorrow once the crawler starts using the new 4chan API™

33

does anyone use this catalog?
http://furl.cc/

it doesn't seem to use a signed ssl certificate unless my browser messed something up

34

>>33
Furl is kill.

35

Well, shit. I like this catalog better than the 4chan's native catalog. Hovering for the last 5 replies only work here and it looks nicer.
